Strata - Phase 1

Strata is a 420-acre mixed-use master planned community in Dacono, Colorado. Located off I-25, just north of Thornton, Dacono is a city on the rise, experiencing unprecedented growth that will transform it from a rural municipality to a thriving destination location, with Strata as its focal point. Strata will be the center of activity in Dacono, introducing a blend of entertainment, retail, and housing that will address the needs of the community as well as attract visitors and new residents from across the region. Strata offers a unique living experience—a balance of small-town charm and urban vitality—in a thoughtfully designed environment that is seamlessly connected through an extensive park and open space system, highlighted by a large, centrally located neighborhood park.

In early January, the City Council of Dacono unanimously approved the Overall Final Development Plan and Final Plat, as well as the Phase 1 Preliminary Development Plan and Preliminary Plat for the Strata. The first phase will include over 150 homes, an enhanced landscaping concept, and a pocket park—kicking off the implementation of the bold vision for this ambitious and exciting project.
