Project Progress: Sterling Ranch

Home construction for 3 new filings at Sterling Ranch is currently underway! Amazing new homes in a diverse array of product types from Dream Finders, Lennar, Meritage, and Taylor Morrison are springing up in Prospect Village. Pulte, TRI Pointe, and Dream Finders are going vertical in Ascent Village on lots with spectacular mountain views, and new Richmond homes are coming soon on the eastern side of the community. Additionally, the new section of Waterton Road running through Sterling Ranch and connecting Rampart Range Road to Moore Road and Highway 85 is open as of October 14th! This new thoroughfare connection has been a very successful collaboration between Douglas County and the Sterling Ranch development team and will provide a welcomed alternative route for Sterling Ranch residents and adjacent communities.

In addition to seeing our land planning efforts come to life with vertical home construction and new thoroughfare openings, the planned open spaces and parks are starting to thrive as well. At full buildout, the Sterling Ranch community is anticipated to have over 1,100 acres of open space and park land. Some of those spaces are now open and are being embraced by the community, wildlife, and even cattle! Sterling Ranch’s development plan embraces Colorado’s Western Spirit and recognizes cattle and ranching as important parts of the community’s history and sustainable future. Cowhands will be moving cattle from Moore and Titan Road south through Providence Gulch again this November for another Sterling Ranch Cattle Drive.  Rotating pastures prevents overgrazing, helps with fire mitigation, and improves ecosystem health—all ideals embraced and showcased at Sterling Ranch.
