project spotlight: frasier meadows

Frasier Meadows is a mission-driven, nonprofit retirement community for seniors located on a 20-acre campus in a residential Boulder neighborhood. PCS Group had the opportunity to assist in the renovation of the assisted living and memory care building, applying creative design methods that support seniors through all dimensions of wellness. These included memory care gardens and courtyards that incorporated nostalgic and sensory inspired spaces for residents that comprised of craning in a 57 Chevy for those who used to drive or work on cars, fountains, clotheslines, animal hutches for rabbits and chickens, and other generational features the age demographic could identify with. Frasier Meadows took landscape architecture to new levels by encompassing many sensory-induced practices within the health industry and translating them to meaningful landscape forms for their residents.
