Park Concepts: Timnath Lakes
Due to the nature of the site—situated along the primary entrance and adjacent to the proposed community pool and lake access—three park concepts were developed to delve into the possibilities for this 12-acre neighborhood park in Timnath Lakes. Many of the core elements between the design concepts are consistent, with the primary differences revolving around shifting the balance between passive and active uses, orientation of the park amenities, and additional features that could help define this area of the community. Each concept explores the relationship between elements, how they feel in proximity to one another, their accessibility to the community, as well as views into, and out of, the site. All three park designs emphasize the use of topography as a sculptural element, enhancing the natural aesthetic of the region, and any combination of the concepts will provide Timnath Lakes residents with an array of exciting recreational opportunities.
