Parkvue on the Platte is a master planned community in Littleton, Colorado that will provide a diverse assortment of housing types and recreational opportunities with a mixed-use core—all of which are integrally connected by parks, trails, and open space systems. At the southeastern end of the property there is an existing barn, which received a historic designation, providing us with the opportunity to breathe new life into the structure and create a unique beacon in the community. 

The Canary Barn will be relocated and restored to a central location to function as a community gathering hub with welcoming social spaces for everyday enjoyment, including a gently sloping seating area perfect for organized events. While the interior of the barn will not be accessible, it will be professionally rehabilitated by a historic preservation contractor, and informational kiosks will be thoughtfully placed around the barn providing visitors with educational opportunities. Additionally, its central location is connected to the trail network which serves as a pedestrian corridor throughout the site, providing interconnectivity between neighborhoods and beyond.
