Westerly Greenway

Westerly is a 400-acre master planned community situated just north of Denver in Erie, Colorado. The design concept for Westerly is a walkable, mixed-use village composed of a well-connected street network that disperses traffic and increases pedestrian connections. This concept is anchored by the Greenway, a large green spine that weaves through the neighborhood with active uses on each end, creating a strong pedestrian connection between the amenity center at the entry of the community and open space to the south. Large play fields, a stage area for hosting events, and a plaza with seating and string lights provide users with ample opportunities for play and socializing. With streets favoring people over cars, the large central Greenway at Westerly has the capacity to host community events at varying scales—from block parties to outdoor markets—and provides residents with the opportunity to break free from the city and connect to nature just beyond their door.
